Sean "Diddy" Combs has been arrested after a grand jury indictment in Manhattan on Monday. The New York Times, who spoke with someone who was not authorized to speak about it, said that the "charges in the indictment were not immediately clear." A federal official said in the spring, after Combs' homes in LA and Miami were raided, that it was part of a human trafficking investigation.
The details of the indictment were released on Tuesday morning and reveal that Combs was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for the purposes of prostitution. Combs appeared in court on Tuesday morning to hear the charges against him. His attorney said he would "fight like hell" to get Combs out on bail and said he was innocent.
The charges say that Combs "threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires," per prosecutors. Court documents allege that Combs created "a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in" and that crimes include "sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice."
