Nelly denies he’s MAGA, says Kamala Harris ‘locked up’ Black people

St. Louis native and legendary rapper Nelly is pushing back against those who claim that he is MAGA because he appeared at an event for President Donald Trump.

The “Hot in Herre” icon also slammed former Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the 2024 presidential election to Trump.

“Where did you get pro-Donald?” Nelly told Hot97 host Ebro Darden, per Vibe.com. “What you had was respect for office.”

He said, “It’s great how people spin narratives to things that I think best fit whatever they’re against. You know what I’m saying, instead of giving a brother the exact fundamental of what he did, what he said. Nobody’s doing that anymore.”
