Bernice King, the daughter of late civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., says the simultaneous occurrence of MLK Day and Inauguration Day this year is an opportunity to reflect on her father’s legacy.
“It’s wonderful that this occurs on the King holiday, the inauguration, because it reminds us of King,” King, the youngest of Martin Luther King’s four children, said on MSNBC’s “The Weekend” on Saturday.
King was just 5 years old when her father was assassinated on April 4, 1968.
