Joy Reid equates having more children to slavery in video response to pro life senator Tuberville

In a TikTok video posted online addressing the recent IVF court decision in Alabama, MSNBC host Joy Reid asked rhetorically, "Why do we need more kids?" and then said that Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) arguing that we need more kids "sounds slaveryish."

The video was uploaded as a reaction to Tuberville's response when he was asked about the case in Alabama which ruled that frozen embryos would be considered children. He stated that in the US "we need to have more kids."

Reid responded, then asking, "Who's the we?" that should have more kids. The MSNBC host then suggested that the senator was insisting that the federal government of the US should "mandate" people to have more kids to increase the population of the country and thought it was hypocritical that Republicans are against illegal immigration while not against having more kids.
