Biden White House staffers praised Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as she pursued her racketeering case against Donald Trump, calling her an “ICON” as they assisted her failed prosecution, emails obtained by Senate investigators show.
The internal emails from 2023, obtained by Just the News, provide more evidence that the Biden White House was actively supporting Willis as she tried to undercut Trump’s comeback bid ahead of the 2024 election.
For instance, Beth Mueller, an associate White House counsel, sent a late August 2023 email “flagging that House Judiciary sent a letter to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis regarding the Trump indictment.”
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told Willis at the time that “it is noteworthy that just four days before this indictment, you launched a new campaign fundraising website that highlighted your investigation into President Trump. Additionally, the forewoman of the special grand jury you convened to investigate President Trump earlier this year bragged during an unusual media tour about her excitement at the prospect of subpoenaing President Trump and getting to swear him in.”
