During an appearance on The Jim Acosta Show, Crockett said she has been approached by Republican voters while out in public who express support for her work.
“I’ve had a number of Republicans that approach me as they see me out and they say ‘hey, I just wanted to let you know that I really like you,’” Crockett claimed while sitting in front of a framed photograph of herself. “‘Like, we come from completely different parties, but I believe that you are fighting for the people, I believe that you are trying to do what’s best for us. I may disagree with, like, how you feel like we get there, but I agree with your fight.’”
She went on to suggest that such bipartisan appeal is “scary” to the GOP because “it’s not just, say, black folk, that are listening to me.”
