DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will not seek reelection

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) will not be seeking reelection, she announced on Tuesday. With Bowser leaving, it will leave an open field for those who want to run for mayor of the nation's capital during the next few years with President Donald Trump in the White House.

“It has been the honor of my life to be your mayor. But today, with a grateful heart, I am announcing that I will not seek a fourth term,” Bowser said in a post to X.
