News of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s hospitalization has prompted conservatives to offer prayers and support across social media.
Thomas was taken to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., Friday, where he has been hospitalized for “flu-like symptoms,” according to a statement released by the Supreme Court Sunday night. Thomas is expected to be released in “a day or two.”
"He underwent tests, was diagnosed with an infection, and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics," the court said. "His symptoms are abating, he is resting comfortably, and he expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two."
Conservatives, including Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, took to social media to wish the justice well and ask that people join them in praying for Thomas.
